JANUARY 26, 2008, SATURDAY
Ka Iwi Coast Hike - Ken Suzuki
Ka Iwi Coast is one of the few places on O'ahu where you can still find native coastal plants. Enjoy a day of hiking and a leisurely lunch at Pele's Chair. Easy, 2 miles/3 hours.

FEBRUARY 3, 2008, SUNDAY
Stream 'Splorations
Spend an afternoon discovering the joys of a fresh water mountain stream. Design your own boat, feed a Tahitian prawn, and dunk your toes in miniature bubbling waterfalls! It promises to be a splashin' good time for all!

FEBRUARY 23, 2008, SATURDAY
Pouhala Marsh Wetland Adventure
Hidden between Waipahu Town and Pearl Harbor, this 70-acre marsh is home to some of Hawai`i's endangered wetland birds. Come see these rare birds and explore their special habitat.

MARCH 2, 2008, SUNDAY
Work and Play, Hawaiian Style
Pa`ani i ka hua laulima hana. (Play is the result of many hands working- Hawaiian Proverb.) Hard work and play are integral parts of the Hawaiian lifestyle. Spend part of the day "at work" and when the work is done the play will begin. Learn Hawaiian games and make a craft to take home.

Eggstravaganza and Natural Dyes
Explore the ovoidal world of eggs. We'll use Mother Nature's palette to create colorful dyes for decorating eggs. Bring six hard-boiled eggs per person for dyeing. Join us for this "egg-citing" adventure!

Nu'uanu Adventure - Ken Suzuki
The Nu'uanu Adventure begins with an exploration of Kapena Falls and the Nu'uanu petroglyphs. The next leg of our adventure will take us to the Nu'uanu-Judd Loop Trail, followed by a visit to Kamehameha III's summer palace, Kaniakapupu. Easy, 3 miles.

APRIL 5, 2008, SATURDAY
Mänoa Cliff Trail Hike - Dr. Mark Merlin
Sharpen your botanical knowledge with this noted author and geographer. This trail features spectacular island views and a variety of native plants, many of which are featured in Dr. Merlin's book, Hawaiian Forest Plants, available for purchase prior to the hike. Moderate, 3 miles.

APRIL 13, 2008, SUNDAY
Happy Habitats
The animals and plants in the forest all have special places to call home. Join us as we discover the many different habitats in nature, see how an animal picks its piece of real estate, and use your imagination to create a nature home.
