Ramsay R.M. Taum


Ramsay Taum was selected as the new Director of Oahu Operations in September 2004. Prior to that, he served as the Project Manager of the Hawaii Nature Center EPA funded Ala Wai Watershed Improvement Project.

Before joining the management team at HNC, he served as the Associate Director of the Ala Wai Watershed Association and Coordinaqtor of the Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program for the Kailua Bay Advisory Council before that. As a sought after keynote speaker, lecturer and Hawaiian cultural specialist, Ramsay successfully incorporates Hawaiian host cultural values and principles into the environmental education message at the Hawaii Nature Center and in contemporary business.

Ramsay graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, attended the United State Air Force Academy, and earned a bachelor of science degree in public adminisration from the University of Southern California.

He serves on numerous national, state and local boards, community groups, task forces, and advisory councils.
